Arthur David McCormick RI

Arthur David McCormick (1860-1943) was born in Coleraine, Co. Derry and was a well-known British illustrator and painter of landscapes, historical scenes, naval subjects and genre scenes.
He studied at the Royal College of Art and exhibited with the Royal Academy.
McCormick worked for The English Illustrated Magazine, as an artist on Sir Martin Conway’s expedition to the Himalayas (1892-1893) and as artist on Clinton T. Dent’s expedition to the Caucasus Mountains (1895).
