The Friends of Big Pat Charity Auction is being held to raise money for a bronze statue of Dr Pat Jennings OBE by sculptor Andy Edwards to be erected in Pat's home city of Newry, 2023. All proceeds generated from the auction will be donated to The Friends of Big Pat Charity.
The On Line Auction "The Friends of Big Pat" will feature many unique signed photographs from Pat's illustrious 22 year career including shots from the World Cup in Mexico. Many artists Internationally have contributed paintings and prints which include Australian artist, Julie Poulsen, Cork painter John Kingerlee, Scottish Artist Lorna Robertson and English Artist Grant Watson. Also included are four photographs from world famous photographer John Minihan with shots of Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon etc.
Dr Pat Jennings OBE will join a long list of legendary figures by UK sculptor Andy Edwards. These include; The Beatles in Liverpool, Brian Clough in Derby, Sir Alex Ferguson in Aberdeen, Dave McKay, Cilla Black and many more. The bronze statue will be sited in Newry City Centre weighing close to two tonne. The statue will be seven foot tall on a four foot granite base.
The auction will run from Thursday 10th November to Tuesday 22nd November. All lots are available to view in Ross's Auction Rooms, Montgomery Street, Belfast from Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm).
