Sophie Aghajanian RUA
Artist Bio
Sophie Aghajanian was born in Israel in 1943 and was educated at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, London from 1962-1966 and then went on to further her education at the Brighton College of Art from 1966 -1967.
Sophie now lives in Belfast and makes a living in the Belfast Print Workshop as well as being a painter. When painting, she tends to focus on reflections, the difference between light and dark, which has an effect on the subject and turns it into a new formation.
In 1987, Aghajanian was elected an RUA Academician and throughout the years she has exhibited in places such as the Curwen Gallery, the RUA, Listowel Graphics and the Tom Caldwell Gallery.
