Rosie McGurran ARUA
Rosie McGurran is an Irish contemporary artist, born in 1969, who paints semi abstract and figurative works inspired by scenes in Connemara. She studied Fine Art at the University of Ulster in Belfast and then at the Glasgow School of Art.
Several prizes have been presented to her including the Victor Treacy Award at the Butler Gallery in Kilkenny, the Conor Prize for figurative work at the Royal Ulster Academy and a prize for landscape painting from the RUA.
McGurran has exhibited at the Peppercanister Gallery in Dublin, at the Clifden Arts Week and has her own Gallery in Roundstone Village in Connemara. In 2002 she was made an associate member of the RUA.
