Michael Farrell RHA
Michael Farrell was born in Ireland in 1940 but was educated in England and then spent most of his time in France. Even though he spent the majority of his life away from Ireland, it was his main focus and subject area.
Particularly in the 1960’s, Michael was known as a leading artist, having exhibited both in Ireland and internationally. Farrell was elected a member of Aosdana, which was set up to honour the work of the artists in Ireland. He was then commissioned to create two murals for the National Bank of Ireland, Dublin.
