Artist Bio
John Faulkner studied at the Royal Dublin Society’s School and then went on to exhibit his work at the Royal Hibernian Academy from 1852 onwards. In 1870, Faulkner had to leave Ireland but later returned in 1880 and began to exhibit his work again until 1887. Faulkner was fond of painting landscapes with lakes and rivers, cattle and bridges. Most of his paintings tended to be watercolour and oil. He worked throughout England, Ireland Scotland and Wales
