Damien Hirst
Artist Bio
Damien Hirst was born in 1965 and was educated in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College in London from 1986-1989. It was here that he first began to explore the affiliation between art, life and death.
In 1991, Damien started work on ‘Natural History’, which in turn became one of his most well known series.
From 1987, Hirst exhibited his work at over eighty solo exhibitions along with two hundred and sixty group exhibitions. The first being held in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale in Naples in 2004. A major display of his work was held in 2012 at the Tate Modern. Damien now lives and works in England.
