Ciaran Lennon

Born in Dublin in 1947, Ciarán Lennon is a popular minimalist artist who studied at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin from 1963-1967. Lennon is an elected member of Aosdána, currently living and working in Dublin. He has exhibited widely throughout Ireland and abroad, holding solo exhibitions in the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris, the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin and Arken Museum of Contemporary Art in Copenhagen. His works are held in public and private collections internationally, including the National Gallery of Ireland, Bank of Ireland, Contemporary Irish Art Society and The Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery in Dublin. He was twice presented with the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award (1991, 1997) and was chosen to represent Ireland at the São Paulo Biennial in Brazil.
